You can choose 3 graduating options.

Option 1: Certificate of Attendance requires attending the Training without completing all the assignments. This is for students who want to learn about mother-daughter attachment as part of the many “tools” they have in their toolkit.

• This option includes a 30-hour CPD Certificate from MDCI.
• This option does NOT require an annual Certification Subscription. It does NOT allow you to call yourself a Certified Mother-Daughter Coach, use the associated logo, join the international community of Certified Mother-Daughter Coaches, or list your details on the “Find a Coach” referral list.

Option 2: Certificate of Completion requires attending the Training and completing all the assignments. This is for students who are interested in learning about mother-daughter attachment because they recognize how vital this topic and relationship is for their work with female clients. 

• This option includes a 60-hour CPD Certificate from MDCI.
• This option does NOT require an annual Certification Subscription. It does NOT allow you to call yourself a Certified Mother-Daughter Coach, use the associated logo, join the international community of Certified Mother-Daughter Coaches, or list your details on the “Find a Coach” referral list. 

Option 3: Certification as a Certified Mother-Daughter Coach requires attending the Training and completing all the assignments and final assignment. This is for students who are passionate about specializing in the mother-daughter relationship. 

• This option REQUIRES you to maintain your Certification by paying an annual Certification Subscription on February 1st. Your Certification Subscription and listing on the "Find a Coach" referral list is included in your Training Course fee for the year that you train! Your first Certification Subscription is due the next February 1st, after you complete the Training Course. 
• This option includes a 60-hour CPD Certificate from MDCI.
• This option allows you to call yourself a Certified Mother-Daughter Coach, use the associated logo, join the international community of Certified Mother-Daughter Coaches, and list your contact details and photo on the “Find a Coach” referral list to attract clients. Maintaining your Certification and "Find a Coach" listing REQUIRES the payment of an annual Certification Subscription costing $229 USD. This is due on February 1st. 

Mother-Daughter Coaching International LLC, #1843, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 15 total credits, including 6 General, 7 Clinical, and 2 Social & Cultural Competence continuing education credits.

 This Training Course is approved for 15 live hours CE credit and involves an extra charge of $35 USD.

CE credit is not awarded for completion of homework assignments, course reading, or post training mentoring. 

Full attendance at all lessons and tutorials is required to be awarded CE credit. Make-up lessons and tutorials are not offered.

In order to call yourself a Certified Mother-Daughter Coach you must:

• Attend all the live calls (6 classes and 6 tutorials)
• Complete all the assignments, including the final assignment where you demonstrate that you have mastered the ideas and exercises outlined in the Mother-Daughter Attachment Model
• Maintain your Certification by paying the annual Certification Subscription of $229 USD, due on February 1st. Your Certification status and "Find a Coach" page listing is included in the Training Course fees for the year that you train! The first payment is due the February after you complete the Training.

How much homework will I have to do?

Along with reading the course texts, preparation for each lesson and tutorial requires - 

• Reading the information on the learning platform.
• Watching the videos.
• Reading the articles.
• Completing the homework assignment.

During the course, you will have 3 practice mother-daughter history mapping exercises to do, a 600 word reflection paper to write, practice the "Stand in Her Shoes" communication exercise, and write a 800 word final assignment, which is a case study.  

Do I have to attend all the live classes and tutorials?

You must attend all six Zoom classes and tutorials to become Certified as a Mother-Daughter Coach, receive a certificate of completion, and gain your 15 live CEU Credits and CPD hours.

This training provides all the tools you need to begin working with mothers and daughters upon completion.

In general, therapeutic training includes learning how to diagnose and treat mental health problems. Therapy has a greater focus on what has happened in the past than coaching does. And coaching has a greater focus on creating an empowered future. The Mother-Daughter Attachment® Model (MDAM) is a psycho-educational model that draws on both therapeutic and coaching models. The founder, Rosjke Hasseldine is therapeutically trained as a counselor and psychotherapist. During her career, she found herself including coaching in her work with mothers and daughters because she found that it helped with emotional empowerment and healing.

The Training Course will teach you the skills, tools, and knowledge you need to work as a Certified Mother-Daughter Coach.

You will learn about the MDAM, and how to emotionally empower your mother-daughter clients, uncover the generational themes that are causing conflict, and how to strengthen their communication through the “Stand in Her Shoes” exercise.

Though we recognize that there is a place for diagnosing mental and emotional health problems, the MDAM reveals that diagnosis can be used to silence and pathologize women’s “maladaptive attachment behaviors”. In the Training Course you will learn to dig below women’s “maladaptive attachment behaviors” and uncover why a mother or daughter is behaving in a way that is causing emotional and relational problems. The Training Course will teach you how to see your female clients from behind their own eyes, rather than through the eyes of our patriarchal society or human development models that have been created for, and by, men.

The Training Course will teach you the skills, tools, and knowledge to work as a Certified Mother-Daughter Coach. You will learn how to map your client’s mother-daughter history, to understand their generational mother-daughter story, to uncover the themes and beliefs that are causing conflict, and to help build stronger, more empowered mothers and daughters. The MDAM is a non-blaming, non-diagnosing, psycho-educational model which fits well with a coaching approach.

If you discover that your client is suffering from mental or emotional health issues that require therapeutic work, it is good practice to refer your client to a therapist who is trained to help with their issue. You can reach out to a therapist colleague, with your client’s consent, and create a three-way agreement with your therapist colleague, your client, and yourself that outlines that your therapist colleague will provide the therapeutic help your client needs, and you will help with their mother-daughter relationship issues.

Graduates can opt to join a Mentoring Group that are facilitated by Rosjke Hasseldine or a member of MDCI Faculty. 

The Mother-Daughter Attachment Training Course provides 60 CPD hours if you complete the course, which includes course time, completing homework assignments and reading articles and textbooks. 

Access is solely for individual use. You may not share your login information or any of the training materials. 

You have courseware access for one (1) year from the date that you begin your training. For example, if your course begins September 2024, you will have access until September 2025.

We can not offer scholarships.

From February 1, 2023, graduates of the Mother-Daughter Attachment Training Course who have not been Certified for ONE (1) year and want to become Certified need to - 

1. Email us ([email protected]) about your intention to become a Certified Mother-Daughter Coach. 
2. Sign up for the Certification Subscription. (This annual Subscription is due on February 1st.) The Certification Subscription includes your listing on the "Find a Coach" referral list. Adding your details costs $50 USD administration fee.
3. Sign up for and complete the Refresher Course.

From February 1, 2023, graduates of the Mother-Daughter Attachment Training course who have not been Certified for TWO (2) years or more and want to become Certified need to redo the Mother-Daughter Attachment Training Course.
